“I met Mr. Rofer last Summer at an international music festival in Brazil where I was on the faculty and became familiar with his music. I heard several of his piano pieces and a piece for cello and piano which I found immediately captivating. As we say in the vernacular "he has something to say" He is a skillful composer with a very unique sound that has immediate appeal and makes a strong emotional impact. As a Professor of Piano at Temple University I am surrounded by many composers and composition students which are generally good. However I am always very impressed when I meet a composer who actually has a distinct sound that communicates immediately to the heart. This is really the special gift of great composers and I believe he has it.” - Maria del Pico Taylor Professor of Piano Temple University Philadelphia.
